Working Principle
When a single-cylinder cone crusher is working, the motor drives the small gear, which in turn drives the large gear. The large gear assembly (large gear, large gear carrier, eccentric steel sleeve) drives the eccentric sleeve assembly (eccentric cylinder sleeve, eccentric copper sleeve) and the main shaft assembly (main shaft, inner cone, inner cone liner) to revolve around the theoretical vertical line within the copper liner. The main shaft assembly can rotate on its own axis within the eccentric copper sleeve, about the center line of the main shaft. During idle operation, the eccentric sleeve assembly “embraces” the main shaft assembly and revolves with the large gear. When material is added to the crushing chamber, the main shaft assembly (main shaft, inner cone) slowly rotates within the eccentric copper sleeve due to the resistance of the material. The inner cone’s trajectory appears as if it is oscillating back and forth within the crushing chamber while slowly rotating. The material is crushed by the oscillating inner cone. The support sleeve is pressed tightly against the frame by a hydraulic cylinder. When uncrushable objects such as metal blocks fall into the crusher, the moving cone of the single cylinder is lifted by the bottom hydraulic piston, which plays the role of adjusting the discharge port, protecting against iron leakage, and repeatedly lifting and lowering to remove ore blockage.
